About grief

Following the tragic, long-suffering death of his wife, CS Lewis unleashes his most depressing questions and thoughts on the pages of the booklets found in his house to overcome them. Although his books have helped millions gain certainty, he himself is shaken by the burden of mourning and questions for a moment everything he has previously put on paper. The text of deep sincerity and resentment is a cry torn from a tormented soul, which is both an indictment and an excuse for God. CS Lewis's notes appeared under the pseudonym of 1961, recommending TS Eliot, who became a kind of "literary opponent" over the years: "When we read the text in the publisher, it immediately became clear to us that it was the work of a man blessed with exceptional intelligence, sensitivity, and expressiveness."
