19th century universal history 1789-1914

The universal historical synthesis of the 19th century offers the history of Europe and non-European countries in one volume. From the French Revolution to the outbreak of the First World War, it follows and analyzes international events, as well as the internal, national development of individual countries. After Napoleon's imperial experiment, in the first half of the 19th century, the five teeth of great powers were restored and the globalization of European diplomacy began. In the second half of the century, national reorganization followed. Two decades later, France responded to the challenge following German unification (1871) with a triple coalition, and permanent alliance blocs were created on both sides. In the imperialist system of the turn of the century, the insufficient preparation of the political elite of the time plunged the world into war, and the decline of Europe began. The volume can be used both as a university and college textbook and as a scientific handbook. It can also be a useful aid in teacher training and for more demanding readers interested in history.
